Lastly, I wanted to share one more thing with the Brand Legendary Family.
The Pittsburgh Steelers played the Indianapolis Colts on NBC Sunday Night Football on August 18, 2012. A quote by an NFL analyst caught my attention that I’d like to share with you. Here’s what the Emmy Award winning sportscaster Cris Collinsworth said about Troy Polamalu.
“It’s always so interesting for me to watch Troy Polamalu down here on the goal line, you just don’t know what he’s going to do, but generally he’s either jumping over the pile or creating a headache for somebody.” - Cris Collinsworth
After he made the above statement, the Steelers defense was facing a Colts offense determined to score – it was 2nd and Goal. Andrew Luck handed off the ball to his RB and the Legendary PlayMaker Icon came out of nowhere and made a play – a tackle behind the line of scrimmage.
Collinsworth continued and said:
“You just cannot account from where he’s going to be. Gonna come right around the edge here. You don’t block that guy. There’s no way that guy gets to the play. There he is running down the back in the backfield. He destroys more goal line plays than any safety that plays the game.”
